The Corporate Seal for the City of Auburn, Indiana, shall be maintained by the Clerk-Treasurer and shall identify March 26, 1900, as the date of Auburn's incorporation as a City

| 12.02 MOTTO | ||
The official motto of the City of Auburn is "HOME OF THE CLASSICS."

| 12.03 LOGO | ||
| A) | The official logo of the City of Auburn is a representation in white letters of the | ||
word "AUBURN," with the word "Indiana" placed underneath, displayed on a red field inside a five-sided shield, with two sides joining at approximately a 45-degree angle at the bottom. The words “Home of the Classics” may also be displayed on the shield.
| B) | The official logo is set forth at the end of this document. | ||
The Clerk-Treasurer shall keep an official certified copy of the official City Logo on file at City Hall.
| 12.04 CITY FLAG | ||
The City of Auburn may maintain a city flag which shall contain the City of Auburn logo and the words “Home of  the Classics” centered on a white field.

| 12.05 BIRD SANCTUARY | 
| C) | The City of Auburn shall be known as "A CITYWIDE BIRD SANCTUARY." | ||
| D) | Appropriate signage displaying the words "Auburn, A Citywide Bird | ||
Sanctuary" and an image of the Cardinal, Indiana's State Bird, may be erected and maintained at the principal highway entrances to the City.
