WHEREAS,
the

Development
Act
of
1974,
as
amended,
authorizes
the
Indiana
Of-
fice
of
Community
and
Rural
Affairs
to
provide
grants
to
local
units
of
government
to
meet
the
housing
and
community
development
needs
of
low
-
and
moderate-income
persons
;
and
WHEREAS
,
the
City
of
Auburn,
In-
diana
has
conducted
or
will
conduct
public
hearings
prior
to
the
submis-
sion
of
an
application
to
the
Indiana
Office
of
Community
and
Rural
Af-
fairs,
said
public
hearings
to
assess
the
housing,
public
facilities
and
eco-
nomic
needs
of
Its
low-
and
moder-
ate-income
reSidents;
and
NOW
THEREFORE,
BE
IT
RE-
SOLVED
BY
THE
COMMON
COUN-
Criminal
Investigation
Division
worked
17
new
cases
and
made
three
criminal
arrests.
A
total
of
142
cases
were
drawn
by
troopers
and
detectives.
Three
Fort
Wayne
district
troopers
with
K-9
partners
made
37
searches
that
yielded
19
arrests,
assisted
other
agencies
on
10
occasions,
seized
163.7
grams
of
matijuana
and
two
grams
of
meth.
The
Indiana
State
Police
post
in
Fort
Wayne
serves
nine
northeast
Indiana
counties:
Adams,
Allen,
DeKalb,
Huntington,
LaGrange,
Noble,
Steuben,
Wells
and
Whitley.
